The Department currently has 10 fulltime faculty employed on permanent basis, against 10 UGC-sanctioned posts. It includes 4 teachers with Ph.D. degrees, 3 teachers with M. Phil. Degrees and currently registered as doctoral research scholars in the University of Delhi, and 3 teachers with an M.Phil. degree. The Department has 1 teacher employed in a Visually Impaired (PwD) post. Apart from this, the Department regularly invites scholars from other institutions and disciplines, as well as professionals from the allied fields of creative writing, journalism, translation and visual studies for regular talks, seminars and workshops that enrich the learning experience of students and expose them to multiple sources and sites of knowledge-production in the civil society.
