Established by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College stands tall as a testament to the enduring ideals of service and self-sacrifice displayed by our revered Ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. The college has produced many talented citizens for the society. I believe it is only though the teachings of the Gurus that students of the college emerged as successful and dignified people in the world. The doctrine of ‘Sewa’ teaches us to put the community first, and that makes our students contribute to the society through humility and honest work, with a very principled mindset.
The College regularly organises various national and international seminars, conferences, and professional development programs, enriching the students and faculty beyond routine academics. In this respect the DSGMC also hosts frequent national and international meets to enrich the ongoing thought and research in Sikh Studies. DSGMC also provides counselling related to career and admission to all the students at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib. The counselling session lays-out the options of institutions run by DSGMC with expert advice provided by the present faculty representatives.
At various points in history the college has taken up case of the marginalized students and have ensured quality education to them. The college presently provides scholarships to students from economically weaker sections and to those with physical or mental challenges. Various informal collection drives also take place to build aid that goes towards paying for the education of the needy students.
With the spirit of providing the best to our students, SGTB Khalsa has also established Sant Harchand Singh Longowal Sports Complex which is well equipped to provide our sportspersons with the perfect platform to utilize the infrastructure and nurture fresh talents in various sports activities like cricket, hockey, chess, football and athletics.
I believe, it is through institutions such as Khalsa college, that Punjabi and Sikh community gets a very fine opportunity to chart and display its rich heritage and value system in the world. We operate with a conscious commitment towards imparting and cultivating values such as selflessness, compassion, and resilience, honouring and prolonging the legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's principles. Through education, service, and inclusivity, we strive to empower future generations to make meaningful contributions to society while embodying the principles of Sikhism.
