In time with the emphasis of Liberal arts in the National Education Policy 2020 the Department of Hindi aims at working as a nodal agency with our college for the implication of foundational skills, civilization values, multidisciplinary perspectives to form the basis of holistic undergraduate education. The department offers quality education programs, facilitating intensive study of Hindi language and literature. Its vision and mission are to enhance students' efficiency and proficiency in language and literature, inspiring them to pursue knowledge through various activities.

Our endeavor is to improve linguistic competence and communication skills. Our department encourages the student to have reading and writing skills. We also focus on contextual analysis of tests. We mainly focus on -

1. Develop graduate-level students' proficiency in Hindi literature and language.
2. Examine the interrelationship between literature, society, and culture.
3. Investigate new approaches in Hindi literature and research challenges in ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary literature and linguistics.
4. Equip students with creative writing, script writing, dialogue writing, translation science, and functional Hindi skills

Our department society “NAV PALLAV” has been conducting Conferences, Seminars, Literary and Debate Competitions on regular basis. We recently held an international seminar (12-13 nov. 2024) on 100 Years of famous Literary genius Ramdarash Mishra.
