This college was established in the year 1951. The Hindi department started with the inception of the college. This department was offering B.A. (Hons.) Course and also as a subsidiary subject. Later on, the department started offering M.A. Hindi. Hindi Elective Course (HGEC) CTH (Compulsory Test in Hindi) was also started. The department has been committed to promotion of Hindi as our national language and 1st official language.
