DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION & SPORTS

The Department of Physical Education provides incentives to the players as per their performance at various levels like Inter college, State, National, University & International Levels.

• Fee concession to every player depending on need and achievements. The following category of sports students under Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses:
  1. i. International Player (participation & position holder) – Full Fee Concession
  2. ii. University & National (participation & position holder)- Full Fee concession
  3. iii. Members of the winning teams in inter college competition in the last academic year – Ist Place-Full Fee Concession and for IInd and IIIrd Place– Half fee Concession.
  4. iv. Refund of fee of Outstanding Players of first year in master’s Courses who played at university level & national Level.
• Refreshments, which include a balanced, protein-rich diet, are provided to each member of the Team.
• Awards and rewards based on performance, the incentive or rewards to position holders of Delhi University Inter College tournaments and AIU participation, National Level or position holders in different games. The rewards are categorized as follows:
  1. i. For AIU position holders Or National Level – Rs 5000
  2. ii. For AIU Participation or National Level – Rs 3000
  3. iii. Inter College First position holder – Rs 3000
  4. iv. Inter College second position holder – Rs 2000
  5. v. Inter College third position holder – Rs 1500
• 4. Playing jersey/ Kit and equipment is provided to every member of the College team.
• 5. As per outstanding Achievement of player at various level following sponsored awards are provided:
  1. i. Dr. Rattan Singh Anand Memorial Award (Best Cricketer) – Rs 10,000 (C+T)
  2. ii. G.L. Sikka Memorial Award (Best student in Sports) Academics & Sports– Rs 10,000 (C+T)
  3. iii. Mrs. Praveen Kaur Sahni Memorial Award (Best Sportswoman) - Rs 5,000 (C+T)
  4. iv. Mrs. Praveen Kaur Sahni Memorial Award (Outstanding Player in Basketball) - Rs 5,000 (C+T)
  5. v. Lala Amarnath Memorial Award (Best Cricketer)- Rs 3,000 (C+T)
  6. vi. S. Pargat Singh Memorial Award (Outstanding Player)- Rs 10,000 (C+T)
  7. vii. S. Charanjit Singh Sachdev Memorial award (Best Cricketer) - Rs 10,000 (C+T)
  8. viii. S. Jaswant Singh Nanda Memorial Award (Outstanding Player)- Rs 10,000 (C+T)
