Student’s Welfare Association

The Student's Welfare Association releases scholarships in every academic year under the Student's Welfare Scheme.

Key Features of the Scheme:

1. Financial Assistance: Grants and scholarships for eligible students facing financial challenges.

2. Mental Health Support: Access to counselling services and mental wellness workshops.

3. Academic Resources: Tutoring programs, study groups, and access to learning materials.

Eligibility Criteria: Students belongs to economically weaker section of society as well as excelled

in academics are encouraged to apply in this Scheme. All undergraduate students currently enrolled

at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College are eligible.

  • Single Girl Child/Candidate with Single Parent/Candidate with No Parents
  • PWD/SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy)
  • Annual Income below 3,00,000/-.
  • Students with Essential Repeat (ER) in any previous examination(s) are not eligible.

Application Process: Students interested in applying for any part of the Student's Welfare Scheme

should complete the online application form available on the student portal. All applications will

be scrutinized, and applicants will be called for interactions with Student's Welfare Committee.

Mandatory Documents for the process of Interview:

  • The certificate for Single Girl Child/Single Parent/No Parents (if applicable)
  • The certificate for PWD/SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy)
  • Last year marksheet. (12 th marksheet in case of first year student)
  • All certificates of achievements.
  • The Annual Family Income Certificate of the Last Financial Year by competent authority issued after March 31 of the preceding financial year. Income Certificate signed by a notary will Not be accepted.
  • Originals of the latest Income Tax Returns (2023-24), if filed, of the following family members:

    4. 3. Sister(s) (Unmarried)
    5. 4. Brother(s) (Unmarried and below 25 years of age)
    6. 5. Self-attested copy of PAN card(s) of all the above.
  • Latest fee receipt paid to the college.
  • Bank Passbook/Cheque book showing the Student’s name, Account number and IFSC code or a Cancelled cheque.
