UGC-MMTTC stands for University Grants Commission - Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre. The Ministry of Education has established these centres through UGC to enhance the professional development of faculty members and other staff in higher education institutions. These centres conduct various training programs, including Faculty Induction Programs (FIP), Refresher Courses, and Faculty Development Programs, as part of the Malviya Mission Teacher Training Programme of Government of India.​​​​​

UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (UGC-MMTTC), also known as GAD-MMTTC (Formerly, Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre (GAD-TLC) under PMMMNMTT is located at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Delhi University.

The centre established as Teaching-Learning Centre under the PMMMNMTT scheme of the Govt. of India, was named as Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre (GAD-TLC) and was inaugurated in July 2016 by the then Honourable Minister of Education.
SGTB Khalsa College was the first College in the country to be allocated this National Level Centre after selection by the PAB, PMMMNMTT, Ministry of Education based on the competitive proposal submitted by Prof. Vimal Rarh as Principal Investigator. 

Since September 2023, the centre has been renamed as UGC-MMTTC after it was selected as a leading Centre to implement the training programmes for the implementation of the NEP-2020.

This Centre has the mandate to conduct various programmes in both online and offline modes, which are valid for CAS promotional requirements of higher education teachers. The flagship programme “NEP Orientation and Sensitization Programme” is being conducted on a regular basis. Other programmes include a one-month “Faculty Induction Programme”, two-week Refresher Courses (in Core Subjects and Interdisciplinary), one-week Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs or Short Term Training Programmes), workshops, Conferences, etc., for Higher Education Administrators, Teachers, and Research Scholars. The Centre also conducts Training Programmes for Non-Teaching staff for their career progression requirements. Some of these programmes are fully/partially sponsored by UGC. The Centre also conducts collaborative events in a Self-sustainable mode. 

In the financial Year 2024-25, this UGC-MMTTC trained the maximum number of participants as compared to other Centres across the country.   

Overall, since 2016, more than 1,25,000 teachers from across the country have participated in various events organised by this Centre.

The Centre has in-house e-learning technical expertise and infrastructure (video studio with virtual set technology) for e-content development in all formats, including multimedia-enriched video, animations, etc., as well as for ICT tools, including LMS.
