Department of Punjabi aspires to be globally recognized as an institution synonymous with excellence in teaching and research in Punjabi language, literature, culture, and diverse schools of thought.

Our vision is to empower students through value-oriented education, enabling them to realize their potential and dream of a brighter, more impactful future.To achieve this vision, we aim to:

  • Promote the rich legacy of Punjabi language and culture by engaging students in a variety of cultural activities, competitive programs, Inter college Competions and community outreach initiatives.

Mission

At the Department of Punjabi, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, we are guided by the profound wisdom of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's words, "ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵਿਚਾਰੀ ਤਾ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ" ("Delving into the depth of knowledge, one becomes inherently altruistic").
