The 74th Founder’s Day was held on 21 November , 2025. It began on a calm and reflective note with path recitation by the students of Fateh Society from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, setting a spiritual tone for the day. Each verse echoed softly through the halls, bringing a sense of peace and devotion. The day also marked the 350th martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, whose courage and selfless sacrifice continue to inspire values of justice, equality, and freedom for all.
From 10:00 to 11:30 AM, the hall resonated with shabad and kirtan performed jointly by the students of Anhad and their teachers. The melodies filled the space with devotion, reminding everyone of the Guru’s timeless teachings of compassion, humility, and equality, where every individual is honored and respected.
Between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, Giani Vishal Singh Ji delivered a meaningful discourse at Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Diwan Hall, Darbar Sahib. His words reflected on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s courage in defending human dignity, his stand against oppression, and the importance of moral integrity, inspiring everyone to live with fairness and empathy.
The morning continued with kirtan by Bhai Harjot Singh Zakhmi from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, followed by Ardaas, Hukumnama, and Guru ka Langar, where equality was truly practiced, as people from all walks of life shared a meal in humility and togetherness.
The afternoon celebrated Sikh martial tradition, with the Tegh Society performing Gatka, demonstrating discipline, skill, and the courage of the Guru’s spirit. Principal Sir spoke about the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, emphasizing justice, equality, and respect for all. The day also recognized student achievements through inter-college and inter-school prize distribution, reflecting the society’s commitment to nurturing talent without distinction.
The 74th Founder’s Day, combined with the 350th martyrdom commemoration, was a meaningful celebration of spirituality, courage, culture, and equality. Every chant, discourse, and act of devotion brought the community together, leaving participants inspired, connected, and reminded of the enduring legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
