Impressed by the talent of students of SGTB Khalsa College, Akashvani Delhi invited them to perform at “Musical Marathon” - a cultural festival organised by them. It was a proud moment for the college as the college’s teams were among the select few from among the various colleges of Delhi University. The national level platform gave the students an opportunity to showcase Punjabi folk dances such as Luddi and the Sikh Martial Art - Gatka. This event served as an extension to the collaboration with Akashvani Delhi during the G-20 Youth Conclave held at the college on August 24, 2023. The series of performances began with renditions of folk songs like Jugni, Challa, and Ratti, followed by the performance of Luddi by Girls’ team, culminating in a demonstration of Gatka. The programme concluded with certificate distribution, and a Vote of Thanks delivered by Sh. Balwinder Singh, Program Executive, Akashvani Delhi. The students also received various goodies in the form of a memento as a gesture of appreciation.
