The Department of Mathematics, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110007 organised the 3-day International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and its Applications during October 15–17, 2024. The event was a success and cultivated a dynamic environment for discussion and collaboration on diverse topics related to mathematical sciences. Inauguration Ceremony started with Shabad & was graced by the chief guest Prof. Balaram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi (DU), and guests of honour Prof. Eberhard Malkowsky, State University Novi Pazar, Serbia and Prof. Yasunori Kimura, Toho University, Japan. Padma Bhushan S. Tarlochan Singh, Chairman, Governing Body, Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh and Vice-Principal Prof. Harbans Singh greeted the guests. Dr. Ruchi Kaur, Convener welcomed the delegates to the conference giving them an overview of the upcoming 3 days. Over 140 delegates from India and abroad joined the conference which 40 invited speakers and 100 paper presenters or participants. Out of over 90 paper presentations and 15 attendees, around 20 were from DU 40 from institutions in Delhi other than DU, and 45 from institutions outside Delhi. Each day of the conference began with 2 plenary talks followed by a series of invited talks by eminent mathematicians from institutions such as DRDO, ISI, NEHU, VIT-Bhopal, JMIU, and many others in addition to University of Delhi. After plenary and invited talks, papers were presented by research scholars and faculty from various universities across the country. Dedicated batches were made for presentations by under-/post-graduate. Under the able leadership of senior members of the department including Prof. Satish Verma, Dr. Virender Kumar Mehra, Dr. Sunderjeet Kaur Bhatia, Dr. Jasvinder Bhalla and others, the conference concluded with the valedictory session wherein Prof. Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Controller of Examinations, DU was the chief guest. The conference report was read by Dr. Ruchi Kaur. A photo frame of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was gifted to Prof. Tuteja as a token of gratitude. After certificate distribution to the participants, the conference ended with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Dharmendra Kumar, Co-Convener, ICMSA 2024. The success of the conference was evident from the active participation and positive feedback received from delegates.
