On 6th April 2024, Prof. Manish Ratnakar Joshi (Secretary, UGC) and Dr. Nikhil Kumar Sachan (Deputy Secretary, UGC) visited SGTB Khalsa College for a candid interaction with the teachers and students of the College. The guests spent around three hours in the college to fulfill their endeavor of learning about the ground realities of the teaching-learning process in higher education institutions. Prof. Joshi and Dr. Sachan first met the faculty members of the College and enquired about the distinctive characteristics of Khalsa College and the faculty’s personal experiences with bonding and helping the students beyond the classrooms. The floor was then opened for the faculty to ask questions to the guests and raise their grievances. After meeting the faculty members, the guests interacted with an auditorium full of students where they discussed innovative uses of technology in the process of learning and the importance of application of the knowledge gained. The session was successful in giving constructive feedback both from the perspective of teachers and students.
