English Literary Society is an experience for minds which crave intellect, insight, and adventure. The society holds discussions via workshops, seminars and panels, dissecting ideas, challenging interpretations, and unravelling implicit layers in both classic and contemporary works. It conducts outdoor sessions where, the members of the society take the words off the page: with poetry and picnics under open skies, and literature walks where stories meet the world beyond walls. Through film-related activities, the society explore film adaptations, discuss their nuances, and create original pieces which are inspired by aesthetics of cinematic experience. For students with a passion for writing, we aim to host sessions to sharpen voices and stir new ideas. This is a space to explore literature and live it, breathing life into every uncovered tale.

Through shared discussions, joint learning, and collaborating with fellow students, the society aims to foster and hone the skills of critical thinking, empathy, peer-learning, innovative experimentation, and communication. Through exposure to works of antiquity and modernity, one's cultural understanding grows and expands in appreciating the human experience. A healthy literary community empowers young minds, igniting their imagination and preparing them to be informed, empathetic, and influential citizens. In addition, the society hold regular student sessions and discussions on aspects of contemporary literary and cultural relevance through both offline and online platforms.

The mission of Inkspire is to inspire students to think critically and see how literature unfolds beyond the boundaries of a classroom. 

Every year, the society puts together student seminars, creative writing workshops, book clubs, and author visits, which inspire students to unleash their creativity and become confident storytellers.
