We are proud to share that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, has received the Green Campus Award for overall excellence in environmental efforts from the National EduTrust of India under the Sustainable ExtAwards 2025–26. This award recognises our college’s dedication towards implementing eco- friendly and sustainable practices for preserving the environment thereby fulfilling it’s social responsibility.

Over the years, the college has taken several steps to make the campus greener and more sustainable. We have installed solar panels to reduce electricity use, set up rainwater harvesting systems to save water, and manage solid waste effectively through segregation and composting. We also organise regular plantation drives and environmental awareness programs, encouraging students and staff to take part in protecting the environment.

Looking ahead, we plan to install water meters to track and reduce water usage, set up a leaf shredder machine to improve composting, and replace old equipment with energy-efficient appliances. We are also providing enhanced support to our waste management team to make our efforts more effective.

This award is a proud moment for all of us and reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and environment committees. It motivates us to do even better and continue building a cleaner, greener, and more eco-friendly campus.

We thank the National EduTrust of India for this honour and remain committed to make our college a model of environmental responsibility.
