Every year on December 15, The College commemorates Founder’s Day in remembrance of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Ninth Guru of the Sikhs, who was martyred fighting for the sake of humanity and after whom Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is named. The college Gurudwara hosted the celebration. Despite the examinations being in progress, an impressive number of students showed up for the occasion. Renowned Ragi Jathas graced the occasion by reciting melodious Gurbani Kirtan, including Bhai Gurdev Singh Ji from Australia and Bhai Bhupinder Singh Ji Anand, Hazoori Ragi of Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, along with students from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College’s Divinity Society, Anhad. This was followed by enlightening words from Prof. Surinder Kaur, the Officiating Principal of the College, and Prof. Harbans Singh, convener of Anhad – The Divinity Society. The event concluded with the Gatka performance by Tegh – The Gatka Society, followed by Guru Ka Langar.
