BUSINESS CONCLAVE

The Business Conclave, organized by The Commerce Society of SGTB Khalsa College, is a prestigious event celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship and business innovation. Each year, the conclave attracts renowned personalities like Tanu Jain, Rahul Makin, and Lataa Saberwal, who share their inspiring journeys and valuable insights. COMZONE

COMZONE, organized annually during the grand fest of SGTB Khalsa College, is a vibrant event filled with excitement and creativity. Hosted by The Commerce Society, it features a variety of engaging activities that bring out the competitive and fun spirit in students. With participation from over 200 students representing diverse colleges, COMZONE creates an electrifying atmosphere of camaraderie and enthusiasm. From thrilling games to interactive challenges, every moment is packed with energy and enjoyment. COMZONE is not just an event; it’s a celebration of talent, teamwork, and unforgettable memories, making it a highlight of the college fest each year.

COMTALKS

The "ComTalk" seminar successfully bridged theory and practice, equipping students with essential skills for future interviews. Dr.  Monika Bajaj’s an eminent speaker's expertise, paired with the live interview demonstration, provided invaluable insights that left attendees better prepared to approach interviews confidently.

COMSTOX

ComStox, hosted by The Commerce Society of SGTB Khalsa College, is an exciting mock stock competition that challenges students’ skills in trading and investment. The event consists of three rounds: an online quiz testing participants’ knowledge of commerce and stock markets, a Bidding Showdown involving auctioning and marketplace trading, and a thrilling finale where teams engage in live stock market simulations. Participants must make strategic decisions to maximize their portfolios. The competition is open to teams from across colleges, offering cash prizes, certificates, and a chance to showcase their financial acumen in a dynamic, competitive environment.

MIC DROP 6.0

Mic Drop 6.0, the crowning jewel of The Business Café, once again emerged as a beacon for talent and passion realization. Held on March 15, 2024, as part of the college's Annual Fest, Lashkara, Mic Drop 6.0 attracted participants from various universities, creating a melting pot of creativity and expression. This flagship event left an enduring impact captivating audiences with a diverse array of performances, including mesmerizing dance routines, soul-stirring musical renditions, and captivating poetry readings.

Think O Quest 3.0

The Business Café proudly hosted Think-O-Quest 3.0, the ultimate treasure hunt, on 25th November 2024. This thrilling event brought together sharp minds to tackle intriguing riddles and challenges, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and problemsolving. Packed with excitement and unforgettable moments, it left participants eagerly awaiting the next adventure.

Release of BIZGEIST (Annual Magazine)

The Commerce Department eagerly released BizGeist's 7th Edition, a testament to the department's commitment to excellence in academia and industry. This premium magazine represents a collaborative effort, drawing inputs from various corners of the college community and meticulously curated by our zealous graphic Designers.

DISHA 2.0

Enkindled Minds, the CA Aspirants’ Cell of SGTB Khalsa College, organized "Disha 2.0", second in its line on 12th April 2024. The event featured renowned speakers CA Shubham Keswani (AIR 8, CA Final) and CA Vijender Agarwal (AIR 1, CA Inter & Final), who shared their expertise on audit, taxation, and career opportunities in finance.

BAZAAR 2.0

Enkindled Minds, SGTB Khalsa College, hosted the second edition of "BAZAA₹: Raise the Bid" on 15th March 2024 as part of LASHKARA 2024. Building on the success of the first edition, this thrilling auction-themed event invited participants to compete in a fast-paced bidding competition. Contestants had the chance to win a cash prize pool of ₹3,500 and exciting gift hampers.

Career planning for success: A Path to navigating your future

The Career Planning for Success event which was held in collaboration with NICASA - Northern India CA Students Association on October 22nd , 2024 provided a great opportunity to over 100 interested participants. They were treated to an interesting session with very experienced experts like CA Jay Kumar Hotani, Gaurav Narula and Vishakha Kohli Mutreja.

Round table discussion (network to net worth)

Enkindled Minds and NICASA NIRC of ICAI joined forces to host a Round Table Conference on "Network to Net Worth" held on 16th November, 2024 saw participation of more than 50 participants who gathered to discuss the importance of professional networking in our journey towards growth. The conference provided valuable insights and was designed as an interactive platform for all delegates to share their experiences, best practices, innovation in creating and nurturing the networks that creates opportunity and drive growth for us.

 

Orientation Programme for Ist Year

The new academic session 2024-25 began with an orientation program for first year students in order to familiarize them with the NEP course structure, college campus, and department societies. The orientation program was held on 21nd August 2024 and saw participation from a large number of students, making it a huge success. It provided an opportunity for the students to meet their peers and faculty, setting the tone for a successful year ahead

INK and IMPACT

Ink & Impact "centered on the theme "VIKSIT BHARAT @2047," hosting a Magazine Cover Making Competition where participants showcased their digital artistry in graphic design. Crafting cover pages for our bi-annual magazine,'BizGeist,' contestants expressed creativity while reflecting on India's anticipated progress by 2047. The event served as a platform for artists to merge innovation with imagination, exploring the realms of graphic design and digital media

ComTalk Seminar: Business Analytics – A Contemporary Approach

The Commerce Society organized the ‘ComTalk’ seminar on 24th January 2025, focusing on business analytics and its contemporary applications. The session was conducted by Prof. H.K. Dangi, a distinguished faculty member from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Prof. Dangi emphasized the growing importance of business analytics in decision-making and introduced students to R software, a powerful tool for statistical computing and data analysis. The seminar covered essential aspects of data visualization, predictive modeling, and their applications in real-world scenarios.The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students received valuable insights and practical tips, enhancing their understanding of the field.

BUSINESS CONCLAVE 2025

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College’s annual flagship event, Business Conclave 2025, organized by the Department of Commerce under the aegis of IQAC, took place on 18th February 2025 with the theme Incredible India: Leveraging AI and Digitalization for Inclusive Growth. The conclave brought together industry leaders, educators, and influencers for insightful discussions on the future of business and technology.

 

The event commenced with a soulful Shabad performance by Anhad, followed by a ceremonial lamp lighting. Dignitaries including Padma Bhushan Sardar Tarlochan Singh (Chairman), Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh, Vice Principal Prof. Harbans Singh, Dr. Vijender Singh Chauhan, and Major General Yashpal Singh Mor graced the occasion. Prof. Gurmohinder Singh’s inaugural address highlighted AI and digitalization's transformative role in India’s economic landscape. Sardar Tarlochan Singh emphasized inclusive growth and innovation while also discussing ethical trading practices inspired by the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji; While Major General Yashpal Singh Mor delivered an inspiring speech on leadership, resilience, and service to society.

 

The keynote speech by Dr. Vijender Singh Chauhan explored the intersection of business, technology, and social impact, setting the stage for an engaging series of discussions. The first panel, Empower Entrepreneurship, featured Harteerath Singh Ahluwalia (Forbes 30 Under 30), Mukul Chhabra (Founder, ScrapUncle), and Jyotiraditya Thakur & Krishbir Singh (Co-Founders, BHAG Club). They shared their entrepreneurial journeys and the role of AI in scaling businesses while ensuring social impact.

 

The second panel, Enlighten with Educationists, brought together CA Dr. G.S. Grewal, CA Parag Gupta, Mr. Anuj Kumar, and Mr. Arvind Shankar, who discussed evolving teaching methodologies, financial literacy, and the impact of digital learning on commerce education. The final panel, Influence with Impact, featured prominent digital influencers Yashvi Bagga, Jaspreet Kaur Dyora, and Gia Gupta, who explored content creation, branding, and AI-driven marketing strategies. Alumnus Jatan Bawa (Co-Founder, Perfora) shared insights on scaling a startup and brand positioning in the digital age.

 

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, delivered by the organizing team, expressing gratitude to the Padma Bhushan Sardar Tarlochan Singh (Chairman, governing body), Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh, Vice Principal Prof. Harbans Singh, Ms. Parveen Kaur Lamba (Convenor, Department of Commerce), Ms. Ashween Kaur Anand (Student Coordinator),Ms. Gurveen Kaur (Student Advisor) and other faculty members.  Special appreciation is also extended to the Student Council Rahul Aggarwal, Arth Manuja and Saumil Joshi, and Riddhi Jain for their leadership and contributions in making the event a resounding success.

 

Business Conclave 2025 stood as a testament to the college’s commitment to fostering intellectual discourse and industry-academia collaboration. The event not only ignited thought-provoking discussions but also strengthened the vision of ‘Incredible India’—a nation thriving through AI-driven and digital-inclusive growth. With this milestone, Commerce Society continues its legacy of excellence, inspiring the next generation of business leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

INK AND IMPACT 2

The Business Café, The Editorial Board of the Department of Commerce, SGTB Khalsa College, organised the second edition of INK and IMPACT. This innovative event provided a platform for young artists to showcase their digital creativity. Centered on the theme "Viksit Bharat @2047," participants were tasked with designing magazine covers for our bi-annual publication, BizGeist.
The event was conducted in two phases. Round 1 was an online screening round which was conducted via Unstop on 22nd February 2025.Participants submitted their digital magazine cover designs online on themes like Economic Growth & Innovation, Education & Skill Development, Sustainability and Environment, Infrastructure and Connectivity, and Social Progress and Inclusivity.
Selected candidates advanced to the offline round. The final round was conducted at Lab 3, Department of Commerce, SGTB Khalsa College, where participants created their designs in real-time within a two-hour timeframe.
The event encouraged creativity and innovation, rewarding participants with exciting prizes. The first winner received an exciting cash prize worth ₹2,000 along with vouchers. Additionally, all participants were awarded certificates of participation.The event concluded on a successful note, inspiring students to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

FINBUZZ 3.0

FINBUZZ 3.0 – Resume Building and Interview Success, organized by Enkindled Minds – CA Aspirants Cell, SGTB Khalsa College, was held on 28th February 2024 via Google Meet. The session featured Ms. Cheena Mishra, a visiting faculty at ICAI and Co-Founder of Leaders Avenue, who guided attendees on crafting well-structured resumes and avoiding common mistakes. She also shared insights on interview preparation, body language, and communication skills, helping students and job seekers enhance their employability.

The event, graced by convener Ms. Parveen Kaur Lamba, concluded with a vote of thanks by student coordinator Ms. Ashween Kaur Anand. Attendees engaged in an interactive Q&A session, gaining valuable career guidance. FINBUZZ 3.0 equipped participants with the confidence and practical knowledge needed to navigate the hiring process and secure better job opportunities.

REAL DEAL

Real Deal is the flagship B-Plan competition organized annually by The Commerce Society of SGTB Khalsa College every January. Attracting participation from over 100 students across Delhi colleges, the event is a thrilling platform to showcase entrepreneurial talent.

EntrExpo, hosted by The Commerce Society of SGTB Khalsa College, is a captivating speaker session designed to bridge the gap between ideas and investment. Focused on the dynamic world of startups and investments, the event aims to provide students with invaluable insights into entrepreneurial journeys, innovative business strategies, and the art of securing investments.

A Treasure Hunt named as  Think-O-Quest 2.0 was held , inviting the fortune seekers to showcase their knowledge and expertise with smart work.

Enkindled Minds, CA Aspirants' Cell of SGTB Khalsa College, organized "Disha: A Way to Big 4's" on February 15, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Seminar Hall, SGTB Khalsa College. Speakers included CA Kapil Goyal, founder of CA India with over 10 years of audit experience at KPMG and EY, and CA Aman Agarwal, Senior Manager at EY with 13 years of Big 4 experience.

 

BAZAAR

As a key highlight of LASHKARA 2023, Enkindled minds, proudly hosted “BAZAA₹: Raise the Bid”, a competitive bidding war designed to stimulate the stock market and its fluctuations as participants fight to stay at the top.

Webinar on Stress Management

The webinar, hosted by Enkindled Minds: CA Aspirants' Cell, SGTBKC, took place on April 9, 2023. It featured distinguished speakers CA Gaurav Garg (Chairman, NIRC of ICAI) and CA Vijay Kumar Gupta (Chairman, NICASA of NIRC of ICAI), along with AIR rank holders Ishu Garg (AIR 19) and Saksham Bhardwaj (AIR 28). Attendees gained valuable insights on exam preparation, stress management, and success strategies through interactive sessions, Q&As, and expert guidance.

FINBUZZ

Enkindled minds of SGTB Khalsa College hosted a two-part webinar series, "FinBuzz," aimed at exploring diverse career opportunities in finance.
