The Home and the World : A critique of Nationalism and the Swadeshi Movement
This is an excellent analysis of the different nuances of the Swadeshi movement in the pre-Gandhi era, during the period after the partition of Bengal in 1905 and how it affected life in undivided Bengal. Jivitesh Vashist of BA(H) Eng I Yr who wrote this tutorial in March 2009, shows how the movement divided India in terms of class and religion, developed an urban bias and alienated the Muslim minority communuity in Bengal.
